Description: A medium sized to large finch with pale grey to blackish plumage. Also has broad white edges to primary coverts and secondaries pointed bill, long wings and notched tail.

Voice: Calls is a loud twit-twitt

Food: Seeds

Habitat: Alpine Slopes

Distribution: Fairly common resident, summers 4200-5250 m, winters 3500 m

Commonly found : high himalayas
