Dolpo The Land of spiritual and mystical

Dolpo lies in the north by China, western Nepal and only access to Dolpo via Jufal/Juphal airport. Dolpo is a high altitude culturally Tibetan region. Dolpo is limited by Himalayan mountain and part of the sedimentary Tibetan Tethys zone

The location of  Oscar-nominated film Himalaya in 1999 and documentary Dolpo Tulku. Dolpo is the home of adherents of Bon, origins of Buddhism but accepted as the fifth school of Tibetan Buddhism. Despite inaccessibility, Dolpo is popular to trekking destination and considered as the unspoiled trekking.

The locals, Dolpo region sub divided the land into four valleys: Tsharka, Tarap, Panzang, Nangkhong. The south of the valley's water flows to Bheri River.

One of the amazing facts at the heights of 3800 to 4180 meters, agriculture is possible.
"Dolpo records its history since 6th to 8th century, Tibetan Yarlung dynasty conquered the most Tibetan-speaking land. Later on, Tibetan kingdom became apart, approximately in 842 and Dolpa was under the kingdom of Purang. Purang and Dolpa became part of Guge in the 10th century. The king of Guge divided by Skyid Ide Nyi ma mgon into his three sons. The king A-sog-Ide approximately 1253, Dolpo and Serib were lost to the ruler of Gungthang. The Dolpo and Serib were reunited and classified as one of three provinces of Nga'ris. In the 14th century, Dolpo fell under the Kingdom of Lo, kingdom controlled the trans-Himalayan trade route through the Kalik Gandaki Gorge." -citation needed. The King from the Ra nag dynasty rules the Dolpo around 15 to 16th century. 

In 1769 the Gorkhas start conquered the Kathmandu Valley, Kingdom of Nepal was from and in 1789 Nepal brings the Lo Kingdom with Dolpo.
