The top viewpoint of Sarangkot makes an excellent focus for an intermediate-level day-trip or night long, and one that may be simply done without a guide. From the Bindyabasini temple within the bazaar, follow the paved road 8km westward to Sarangkot city and lodges, wherever there’s a junction: the top viewpoint is another 3km on to the right, whereas the left-hand side leads towards Naudaada. the first 10km of the Naudaada road contours pleasantly on the side of the ridge through a forest, terraced farmland and villages; at Naudaada you'll head back to Pokhara on the busy Baglung main road. A shorter, but an additional popular alternative you will love, Naudaada road at the saddle of Deurali, then descend steeply on cross-country tracks via Kaskiot to Pame, one or two of kilometers west of Pokhara on the lakeside.
