Pokhara the City of tourist, every traveler include Pokhara Itinerary when they are in Nepal. To visit Pokhara many travel agency offers you to travel by vehicle or by air. If you want to choose a low expensive rate, by the road is the best option for you, one can reserve the jeep or car for your comfort. But you can choose the tourist bus that leaves every morning from Kantipath road, near Thamel. If you get confused you can ask anyone or ask your hotels staffs.
You can get a ticket early in the morning or you can book from an agency or ticket counter in Kantipath. They will charge you US$ 5 or 6 for no AC, for AC they will charge you US$ 7 to 8.
Actually, the distance between the Kathmandu and Pokhara is 210 kilometers, approximately it takes 5 to 6 hours to reach by tourist bus. The tourist bus will take you 3 pm, it is a long journey. There is local bus operates daily but I suggest not to use it.
Choose B side site of your bus, you can get a nice view on the way traveling to Pokhara of Nepal. All tourist bus always leave early in morning, 7 AM. Due to certain reasons, time may change so do not forget to ask a person once again about the details.
